It's hard to imagine a time when we couldn't just Google something on our phones or scroll through social media to catch up on the latest news. But on August  1st, 2025, we're celebrating a major milestone - the 34th birthday of the World Wide Web, and it's time to party!   A Brief History of the Web   It all started back in 1989 when British computer scientist Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented the World Wide Web. He was working at CERN, the European particle physics laboratory, when he came up with the idea of a system that would allow different computers to communicate with each other and share information.
