You see, it all started back in 1941 when the US Army commissioned a versatile, go-anywhere vehicle to help the Allies win World War II. That's when Willys-Overland Motor Co. created the first-ever Jeep (GP, or General Purpose, in Army speak). Fast forward to the post-war era, and the civilian version, the CJ-2A, was born. Since then, Jeep has become synonymous with off-road capability, durability, and a dash of rugged charm. Today, Jeep 4x4 Day honors that rich heritage and the community that's grown around it.
