Oh, boy, are we excited! July 29th, 2025, is just around the corner, and you know what that means... it's International Tiger Day! Declared in 2010 at the St. Petersburg Tiger Summit, this amazing holiday aims to raise awareness about the precarious state of these majestic creatures and the urgent need for conservation efforts. Did you know that there are only around 3,900 tigers left in the wild? The origins of International Tiger Day date back to the early 20th century when the decline of tiger populations became apparent. Hunting, deforestation, and human-tiger conflicts were (and still are) major threats to their survival. In response, conservationists, governments, and NGOs joined forces to protect the tiger and its habitats.
