This extraordinary holiday is dedicated to raising awareness, promoting acceptance, and celebrating the uniqueness of children living with alopecia. Alopecia, an autoimmune disease that causes hair loss, affects millions of people worldwide, with a significant number of them being children. In 2015, the National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF) launched Children with Alopecia Day to shine a light on the experiences of these young individuals and their families. Since then, April 14th has become a beacon of hope, love, and empowerment for the alopecia community.
