National Alcohol Screening Day - April 10th, 2025
Can you believe it's that time of the year again? National Alcohol Screening Day (NASD) is just around the corner, and I couldn't be more excited! Mark your calendars for April 10th, 2025, because it's going to be a day filled with awareness, education, and maybe a few surprises. A Brief History NASD was first launched in 1999 by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) in partnership with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The goal was to raise awareness about the risks associated with excessive drinking and to provide free screenings for those who might be struggling with alcohol use disorders. Fast forward to today, and NASD has become a nationwide event, with thousands of screening sites set up across the United States.
