A Brief History of Stupid Toy Day You might be wondering, where did this quirky holiday originate from? Well, believe it or not, Stupid Toy Day has its roots in the 1980s in the United States. Back then, a clever entrepreneur by the name of Ronald W. Solomon created this holiday as a way to poke fun at the commercialization of Christmas. Solomon, who owned a toy company, was tired of the pressure to create the next big thing in toys. He thought it was ridiculous how people would go crazy over the latest fads, only to forget about them a few months later. So, he decided to create a holiday that celebrated the absurdity of it all.
