Did you know that the idea of Doctors' Day was first conceived in 1933 by Eudora Brown Almond, the wife of a physician, in Winder, Georgia? She wanted to show her gratitude towards her husband and other doctors for their tireless efforts and dedication to their patients' well-being. And thus, the first Doctors' Day was celebrated on March 30, 1933 , with the distribution of cards and flowers to doctors in the community. Fast forward to the present, Doctors' Day has evolved into a nationwide celebration in many countries, including the United States, Canada, and India, among others.
