Neighbor Day - A Celebration of Community and Friendship May 25th, 2025, mark your calendars! It's that time of the year again, when we come together to celebrate the importance of good neighbors and the positive impact they have on our lives. In this fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in our daily routines and forget about the people living right next door. But, on Neighbor Day , we take a step back, appreciate their presence, and acknowledge the significant role they play in shaping our communities. The concept of celebrating neighbors dates back to the 1950s, when the National Association of Towns and Townships passed a resolution to recognize the importance of good neighbors. Over time, the idea spread, and on May 25th, 1971, the US Congress officially declared the third Sunday of May as National Good Neighbor Day.
