This year, it's on August 12th, 2025, and trust me, you won't want to miss it. But before we dive into the fun stuff, let's talk about the history behind this special day. International Youth Day was first introduced by the United Nations in 1999, with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of young people's involvement in global issues. It's a day to recognize the potential, energy, and creativity of youth, and to empower them to become active participants in shaping their own future. The idea for International Youth Day was born out of the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth, which took place in Lisbon, Portugal in 1998.
