Education and Sharing Day is a celebration that honors the importance of education, sharing, and community, and I'm thrilled to dive into its history, traditions, and ways people come together to observe it. A Brief History In 1978, the United States Congress established Education and Sharing Day as a national day of observance, in honor of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, a prominent Jewish leader and educator. Schneerson was known for his tireless efforts in promoting education, family, and community, and his birthday, March 27th, was initially chosen to commemorate this day.
