World Honey Bee Day - August 16th, 2025

Honey, I'm so excited to be talking about one of my favorite holidays - World Honey Bee Day! This amazing celebration takes place on August 16th, 2025, and I just can't wait to dive into all the buzz (get it?) around it! A Little History World Honey Bee Day was first celebrated in 2009, but its roots go way back to August 16, 1839, when the father of American beekeeping, L.L. Langstroth, was born. Langstroth was an American apiarist and beekeeper who developed the modern beehive, making it possible for people to keep bees in a more controlled environment. His innovative work paved the way for modern beekeeping and, ultimately, the honey industry as we know it today.
