It's a celebration like no other, and trust me, you won't want to miss it! So, where did this amazing tradition come from? Well, it all started back in 2002 when a group of comic book enthusiasts in California decided to create a special day to promote their beloved medium. They wanted to the community, and what better way to do that than by giving out free comic books?! Genius, right?! Fast forward to today, and Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) has become a global phenomenon! It's celebrated on the first Saturday of May every year, and comic book stores, libraries, and bookstores all over the world join in on the fun.
