It's Gold Star Spouses Day, a holiday dedicated to honoring the remarkable spouses of fallen heroes who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. The History Behind Gold Star Spouses Day In 2004, a group of dedicated individuals came together to establish the Gold Star Wives of America organization, with the goal of supporting and advocating for the spouses of fallen military members. Their hard work and dedication led to the passage of a congressional resolution in 2010, declaring April 5th as Gold Star Spouses Day .
