Yes, you read that right, May 4th is officially (well, unofficially but we're going with it) recognized as Star Wars Day , a celebration of all things Star Wars . So, how did this magical day come to be? Well, it all started back in the 70s when the first Star Wars film hit theaters. Fans were instantly hooked, and as the franchise grew, so did the dedicated fan base. Fast forward to the 90s when the internet started taking off, and suddenly Star Wars fans from all over the world could connect, and May 4th became the unofficial anniversary of the franchise.
